Feverfew - botanical name TANACETUM parthenium - was already mentioned in ancient times. Originally native to the eastern Mediterranean, the plant has been able to settle in almost all of Europe since the Middle Ages due to its high adaptability. Feverfew belongs to the daisy family and its flowers are similar to those of chamomile, which is why it is popularly known as “false chamomile”.
